Talco Pump Systems

The Talco systems are provided as stand alone units to boost city pressure or with above or below ground storage tanks as required. The pump systems are complete with valves, fittings, pressure switch, flow switch, base and controller. Each system is assembled, painted and tested before shipment.

OVERVIEW OF SYSTEMS AND USES

MODEL LSF-ABOVE GROUND (LSF)

LSF 300_s

Used for residential sprinkler installations where NFPA 13D code applies. System can be used for domestic as well as fire systems or other applications where a booster pump is required, System flow range is from 25 to 200 GPM with pressure up to 100 PSI.

MODEL LSF UNDERGROUND (LSF-SP & UG)

LSF 300 SP_s

Two types of systems suitable for a below ground water source are available.

The Self-priming (SP) pump system, which includes an above ground pump system designed to operate with a suction lift. The pump is usually mounted close to the tank in a suitable enclosure or inside a heated structure. A base mounted control panel is pre-wired to the motor, A footvalve for the intake connection is standard.

The Underground (UG) system uses a submersible pump mounted inside an underground water source. The system is piped below grade to the fire system riser. The submersible controller & a piping manifold with a pressure switch connection, gauge, flow switch, isolation valve and inspectors test are Wall mounted in a heated room. All pump related components are underground.

System flow range is from 25 to 100 GPM with pressures up to 100 PSI.

MODEL  ULR

ULR 1302

These systems are designed for relatively small applications that fall under the NFPA 13 &13R code for installations requiring conformance to NFPA requirements. Single phase systems range from 5 to 10 hp and 3 phase units from 5 to 125 hp. These systems use pumps and controllers that are UL listed and constructed per FPA pamphlet 20 (Centrifugal Pumps). The system uses UL listed components and can include the addition of a city by-pass, flowmeter and/or jockey pump loop or test header connection where required. The system flow range is 35 to 1000 GPM with pressures up to 180 PSI.

MODEL FFX (Nitrogen)

FFX_s02

The FFX system is ideal for installations where there is no power, or where a stand-alone system is desired. The system uses nitrogen as a propellant and features an ASME certified steel tank. All installation components are included, leaving only the connection to the fire system to complete the installation. The Tank, when filled, is treated with a supplied rust inhibitor and chemical algaecide. All major components are designed for maximum life and no maintenance. System flow range is from 30 to 150 GPM with pressures up to 100 PSI.

STORAGE TANKS

Tank1

Talco has a large selection of tank types and sizes: polyethylene, fiberglass, rubber and fabricated plastic. All tanks are fitted with auto fill valves and discharge connection. Underground tanks include low level alarm, junction box, 15” riserwith cover and compression fittings for pump cable and low level alarm.
